The Cornerman Movement™
Trauma-Informed Youth Mentorship & Justice Advocacy
Every Fighter Needs a Corner. Every Youth Deserves One.
The Cornerman Movement is a trauma-informed, justice-rooted initiative that ensures no young person ever fights alone. Through this model, we build intentional "Fight Corners" around system-impacted youth, surrounding them with a team committed to healing, empowerment, and advocacy.
Each Fight Corner includes:
-
A Cornerman (mentor) who offers steady guidance and life coaching
-
A Cutman (healer) who provides emotional care and trauma-informed support
-
A Referee (justice ally) who ensures fairness, access, and systemic navigation
-
A Fighter — a young person navigating life with courage, capacity, and community
Together, they form a relational ecosystem where youth don’t just survive — they rise.

Who Benefits from This Youth Mentorship Program
The Cornerman Movement supports youth ages 13–21 who are:
-
Navigating trauma, instability, or identity formation
-
In need of consistent mentorship and community support
-
At risk of system involvement or school exclusion
-
Seeking guidance, healing, or advocacy to pursue their goals
-
Identified as "students at promise" in need of restorative care and champions
-
Identified as "students at promise" with high suspension risk
